Wah buku ini sangat menarik untuk dibaca...saya menemukan buku ini waktu saya mau pulang dari Gramedia-GI, saat saya sedang melihat-lihat sambil menunggu mama saya, eh saya melihat ada buku yang judul bukunya mirip dengan saya, yaitu 'Amelia'. saya melihat tulisan belakangnya, DAN saya tidak tertarik. jujur saya memang bosan membaca novel. saya hanya tersenyum melihat namanya dan covernya, kok seperti cerita anak di perkampungan ya. hahaha. Eh saat oma saya melihat  juga buku itu, dan dia membacanya, dengan sigapnya dia langsung pergi ke kasir untuk membayar, saya sambil mengejarnya dengan bertanya "Oma, buat apaan itu? duh gausah beli"...akhirnya dia membeli...dan dia menyuruhku membacanya duluan. ya sudahlah apa boleh buat, saya terima,tapi gatau mau baca atau tidak. Sampai di rumah dan malamnya, buku itu masih tersegel :) ... saya hanya memandangi cover nya saja, dan saya tinggal tidur. Besoknya, pada malam hari, saya tidak tau mau ngapain dan saya memutusk...

Tidak ada foto, tidak ada lagu, tidak ada material yang kusiapkan untuk mama. Mengapa ? Karena memang tidak ada ...bahkan ucapanpun tidak ada. Dimulai dari bangun pagi, aku memang tidak berniat untuk mengucapkan ' selamat hari ibu'... entah, mungkin aku memang tidak terbiasa, menurutku omongan hanya omong kosong. Lalu seiring berjalannya hari, di gereja, di mall, bersama keluarga lainnya, aku juga tidak berniat untuk mengucapkan. Sampai akhirnya di rumah, kita makin bersiap2 untuk merayakan hari natal, dengan sibuk menata rumah. Kita sambil mengobrol lepas, tidak ada beban, tertawa, seperti biasanya, tetapi lega ... Yah sampai malam tiba, dan bersiap buat tidur, dia berkata "terimakasih untuk hari ini"...
